• 41% of the 135 hospitals operating in the affected area were in some level of damage.
• 5 hospitals were destroyed in the Maule Region.
• 17 hospitals suffered structural damage to medium magnitude.

• Participation in health spending reached 15% during 2011, a figure which in 2010 was 9.4% in 2009 from 8.6%.
